The following terms of use (these “Terms”) govern all use of all of the websitesoperated by Ashbea Music. (“Ashbea Music”, “Ashbea” “us, “we” or “our”), including, www.ashbeamusic.com content, services, other applications and products available at or through the websites, platforms, whether now in existence or added in the future (collectively, the “Services” and each, a ”Service”). 

The use of any of the Services is offered subject to your acceptance, without modification, of all of these Terms. PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE ACCESSING OR USING ANY OF THE SERVICES. By accessing or using any of the Services, you agree to become bound by these Terms.   If you do not agree to all of these Terms, then you may not access or use the Services.

These Terms may be revised from time to time by updating this posting.  You should visit this page regularly to review the current Terms.  If we deem a revision to be material, we will provide you at least 30 days’ notice prior to any such terms taking effect.  Your continued access and use of any of the Services after such posting will signify your acceptance of any revisions.  If you do not agree to the revisions, you do not have permission to access, and should discontinue use of, the Services.  These Terms were last updated on December 02, 2023.  

Music Services Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to music services provided by Ashbea Music. These are general terms that apply to all the music services we offer.

In these terms, “Service” or “Services” refer to the instrumental lessons, music production and music aptitude test services we provide. “We”, “Us” and “Our” refer to Ashbea Music, and “You” refers to the person, people, business, and organisations who would like to make use of our Services. Our “Website” refers to the website www.ashbeamusic.com.

Payment for Services rendered is required upfront before commencement of any Services rendered. Any other applicable Payment terms and methods, or amendments to these terms, for Services rendered by Ashbea Music will be applied based on the individual Service requested. Any applicable contracts or agreements must be signed and agreed upon by both Us and You before commencement of any rendered Services.

These terms are governed by UK law. Ashbea Music reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes to these terms will be reflected in this document on our Website, and we will provide notification of changes via email.

Ashbea Music Online Teaching Policy

Payments and Refunds

♫ Our online lessons will be charged at a rate of £52 per hour, £39 per 45 minutes or £26 per half-hour.

♫ Payment must be provided in monthly block bookings by the 7th of each month in which payment is due. We reserve the right to refuse lessons if payment is not met by this date.

♫ Payment can only be made by bank transfer.

♫ Invoices will be issued one week prior to payment falling due.

♫ Refunds will not be issued for absence, lateness or cancelled lessons. In such cases, it may be possible to reschedule for a mutually convenient time. (Please see “Cancellations, Rescheduling and Extra Lessons” section below.)

♫ Standard Online Lesson Procedure.

♫ Lessons will be organised in 30, 45 minute or 1 hour slots with your chosen Teacher.

♫ Lessons will continue throughout school holidays unless cancellation arrangements have been made in advance according to standard procedure. (Please see “Cancellations, Rescheduling and Extra Lessons” section below.)

Truancy and Lateness

♫ Lessons lost to truancy will not be rescheduled or refunded under any circumstances.

♫ Time lost to lateness will not be added to the end of your scheduled lesson time. If this time is to be made up at a later date, it will be considered as an extra lesson, and will be charged as such.

♫ Equipment and Environment for Online Lessons.

♫ The Student or Student’s Parent or Guardian shall be responsible for a suitable location for online tuition.

♫ The Student or Student’s Parent/Guardian shall be responsible for provision of technology suitable for online tuition and shall ensure that any applications or other technology specified by the Teacher is installed and tested before online lessons commence. Ashbea Music does not provide equipment to students for online lessons.

♫ Ashbea Music cannot be held liable for, and cannot recover any time lost to, delays or disruptions caused by technical difficulties.

♫ The Teacher cannot be held liable for any damage, technical faults or failures of equipment and software belonging to the Student or Student’s Parent or Guardian.

Cancellations, Rescheduling and Extra Lessons

♫ During school term times, a minimum of 48 hours notice must be given to the Teacher if a lesson is to be cancelled. During school holiday periods, a minimum of 1 week’s notice is to be given.

♫ Rescheduling of lessons is only available if notice of cancellation is given 48 hours in advance or more, or 1 week during school holiday periods. Cancellations made with less than the required amount of notice can neither be rescheduled nor refunded.

♫ The party responsible for the cancellation is also responsible for the rescheduling of the cancelled lesson.

♫ Lessons must be rescheduled within one month of the date of the cancelled lesson. Lessons booked in a previous month cannot roll over to the following month.

♫ Extra lessons (e.g. for exam preparation) are available by request, and will be charged at the usual rate.

Lesson Termination

♫ Where a Student or Parent wishes to permanently terminate lessons, notice of 1 month is required, or 1 month’s payment must be provided in lieu of notice.

♫ Ashbea Music reserves the right to terminate lessons due to consistent lateness, insufficient progress (i.e. lack of commitment to practice) or unruly behaviour.

Examination Entries and Fees

♫ Exam fees are not covered in the lesson fee.

♫ All exams are to be booked by Parents or Students who are over 18.
